Karen Milley

Karen has worked for more than thirty-five years in intellectual property–nearly twenty of those years with us as a litigation assistant and trademark clerk. Her extensive knowledge of trademark practice enables us to provide our clients with efficient, responsive, and friendly service. Karen’s favorite pastimes are bowling and watching sports. She’s a fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Liz Forster

Patent Administrator

Liz’s experience in intellectual property spans all areas–patents, trademarks, designs, and copyright–and spans more than thirty years. She’s a highly skilled and motivated individual who has worked with us for nearly two decades as a patent clerk and administrator, specializing in the filing and management of worldwide patent and design applications. When she’s not in the office with us, Liz is usually outside, camping, hiking, canoeing, fishing, and skiing.

Irene Wozny

Patent Administrator

Irene has a full range of experience in intellectual property, having worked at both large firms and boutique firms in patents, trademarks, and designs. During her thirty-two years in the field she has assisted lawyers and agents with all facets of intellectual property practice: international and domestic filings, searches, opinions, and management of due date docketing systems. She is adept at managing large patent portfolios. Irene is fluent in English and Polish. During her leisure time, Irene enjoys going for long walks.

Miriam Mendez

Trademarks Clerk

Miriam has over twenty-five years of experience in the legal field, mostly in intellectual property–patents, trademarks, and designs. She specializes in managing worldwide trademark portfolios, handling Canadian filings and coordinating with foreign associates. Miriam enjoys organizing social events and contributing to the community by raising funds for charitable causes and volunteering. She loves to travel south during the winter and to go camping during the summer. Miriam is fluent in English and Spanish.

Cathy McDonald

Litigation Assistant

During Cathy’s thirty years of experience, she has been involved in cases that have gone to trial from the Federal Court all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada. Cathy also has experience in filing opposition material with the Trademarks Office. During her time away from work Cathy enjoys spending time with the family at the cottage or camping.
